Woah, I didn't know you could make movie music. I have no idea how you achieved that sense of randomness and... something going on all the time, and I love it!

I don't want to shit on you and all that, but this is the first time I'm genuinenly impressed by your music

Lumiflag responds:

Well I used a lot of Omnisphere for making the ambient sounds. For the percussions, I used the library Damage 2 (which is excellent for cinematic sounds).
But thank you ⭐

Man, I'm vibin to this! Good work!
Just one thing, the bass is sometimes clashing with the piano(s), but it can be fixed with a bit of highpass on the piano :)

Lumiflag responds:

Okay, I just improved the mix :)

To be honest, the drop (around 1:10) feels weird, because it's practically the same as the intro, but with bass

That was the only thing i could criticize, otherwise I seriously like the song. It had a potential for a sick drop, but thats really the only bad thing about it

Lumiflag responds:

Gotcha. I'll try to improve the drop then.

Okay, the drop is modified...

Do not take this as hate, but here's some feedback! Mostly mixing and technical stuff

First of all, the volume is unbalanced, you can see that on the waveform. You can fix that by making the quieter parts louder

And second, trust me, never ever use stock drums. There's nothing wrong with them, but because so many people know them, they are gonna be like "Ohhl I know that sound, I know how the song was made!" and you don't want that. Ideally, you don't want people to recognise even a single element used in your song. Instead of using stock stuff, you can download some drum sample packs. Most of them are paid, but you can come across some free ones, like this one I found: https://soundpacks.com/free-sound-packs/acoustic-drum-samples-wavbakery/

Anyways the rest is fine. Hope I helped

HellEyesOffiachell responds:

Thank you for the helpful feedback! I will definitely utilize this to improve on my future projects.

Only thing I can really criticise is that the drums don't fit with the song as well as the other synths do (but still sound great) and maybe could be bitcrushed just a little

iodinex64 responds:

I actually completely agree with you! They are just a tad too clean. If I was going to remake this I would definitely bitcrush the drums and mix that signal with the clean one or something.

I mean i can give credit for effort, but it feels empty

EnNinja responds:

my brother in christ you are 7 years late. please don't listen to this garbage lmfao

I don't know about the guitars, but the drums should be fully playable, good job on the realism

Lumiflag responds:

Thanks ! I used Studio Drummer to replicate the acoustic drums.

The beginning sounds like Portal music

Lumiflag responds:

never played portal so can't really relate
also was my first song so yeah it's quite bad

If your music is an experience, people are likely to have an experience. Where as if your music is a journey... people are more likely to have a journey.
