The singing girl could be plotting to invade Portugal and we'd never know lol

The J-pop side of the song... well, I don't know, I haven't listened to any J-pop ever sooooo
But the funky side is awesome! I can give a tip: Use really short slap bass notes as percussive elements

Overall, you did a good job

Never even seen any Ace Attorney stuff outside memes, but the song is nice!

I guess I can provide mixing feedback at least: The drums, especially the hi-hat and snare are too loud and have too much high frequencies

Also if you're using fruity reverb 2, increase the "size" knob to max for that concert hall feel. Right now, if feels like I'm listening to an orchestra in my bathroom if you know what i mean lol

The song itself is nice, but everyone who's ever worked in FL Studio will hear the FPC drums and go "Oh god, it's this plugin"

Next time, don't use stock presets anywhere :)

Edit: Oh ok, it's in FLS trial

Blazulite responds:

LOL that was the whole point of the song, doing everything with stock stuff. Great you noticed :3

You're 14, right? In early 2022, you were 12. This is insanely good for a 12 year old. You have the sidechain and everything

The supersaw chords are clashing with the bass and the mix just feels very muddy...
But the harmonies and chords and stuff are really nice!

1:30 is easily my fav section. With the low synth and stuff. It just feels really good. Nice job!

The song itself is not bad, but I think there's too much OTT

Lumiflag responds:

i literally put it like once or twice in the entire track but OK lol

Great track! I'm listening without headphones so I can't really tell the mixing quality but I'm sure it's fine

I'm not really a critic so I can't point out what exactly I like, I just like it I guess...

Edit: Wait you have a JP-8000?

Lumiflag responds:

I could have done better with the mixing, I gotta admit. Especially with the drums.
And no, I don't own a JP-8000, but Roland made a digital version of their most famous hardware.

You're really good at making ambient music! Well this isn't really ambient but... you get what I mean. Cinematic music, that's the word I'm searching for

I could absolutely see this being featured in a movie or something

If your music is an experience, people are likely to have an experience. Where as if your music is a journey... people are more likely to have a journey.
